What Rebate Calculator is for.

You're about to spend real money on solar, a battery, hot water or heating, and the rebate figure on the quote is a number you can't check. The government pages that hold the real figures are spread across five sites and written for the industry. Rebate Calculator puts the checked figure, the rule behind it and the date we checked it on one page, so the quote has something to be measured against.

Rebate Calculator is published by Timeless Energy Pty Ltd (ABN 22 647 048 520), a group of home energy businesses that has spent years on the other side of these quotes. We built this site because we kept seeing the same thing: figures that were stale, rounded up, or missing the one condition that decided whether a household qualified. Nothing on this site is for sale. It exists to cut through that noise.

How to use it, in three steps.

  1. Find your figure. Every row names the program, the published maximum, the condition, the body that runs it and the date we checked it. The current check date is 23 September 2026.
  2. Hold the quote against it. The certificate count should match your postcode and size exactly. A state rebate should appear by its program name. If it doesn't line up, ask why before you sign.
  3. Ask when you want a real quote. Send the job from the check page. We tell you who we'd refer you to before we do, and that business may pay us a referral fee. That never changes a figure on this site.

Without a checked figure

You pay the installer's number, not the published one, and there is no way to tell which. The rebate becomes whatever the quote says it is.

With one

The rebate sits on your invoice as certificates you can count, next to a state program you can name, and the quote either matches or has to explain itself.

Not a government website. Nothing here is a decision about your eligibility; the body that runs each program decides that. If you find a figure that disagrees with its source, email hello@rebateindex.com.au and we'll fix it and say so.
